While this is old news, we recently came across this story. Hedge Fund billionaire David E. Shaw, who is worth a reported $3.6 billion, is building a Contemporary mega mansion overlooking the Hudson River in Hastings-on-hudson. David is an American computer scientist and computational biochemist who founded D.E. Shaw & Co. The home was designed by Steven Holl Architects and will feature over 30,000 square feet of living space with 4 bedrooms, elevator, 3 gyms, indoor swimming pool, 3100 square foot underground garage and much more. Other features will include a tennis court and reflecting pool. The cost of the home is said to be anywhere between $40-$75 million!
